Minister of State for Science & Technology and for Earth Sciences Dr. Y.S.Chowdary Extends his Deep Felt Condolences to the Elder Brother and Other Family Members of the Former President of India Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam

I believe everyone who directly or indirectly knows the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, is now deeply saddened at his demise. I am sure that everyone would agree that he is one of the most loved intellectual, President, a Personality, a Scientist, Statesman and none the less a great human being that we all came across in the recent times.

His humanness is reflected by the fact that he declared that we should all work extra for the country as a mark respect to him on his demise and not take a holiday to mark the occasion.

He is a visionary who directly contributed through his endeavors in the field of Science and Technology. He also inspired one and all, particularly youth of the nation through his books and multitude of direct contact programs with children and young people. He departed from amongst us even as he carried on such a yeoman service.

I also, as a minister in the Ministries of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences today, strongly miss him along with the entire scientific community of the country. Dr. Kalam is an ardent lover of Science whom everyone deeply loved.

I would like to extend my deep felt condolences to his elder brother and all other family members of this great departed soul as his mortal remains will be laid to rest. I pray god to give them all strength in this hour of grief.
