The target of 8 crore under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) to provide deposit free LPG connections to adult women of poor households has been achieved on 07.09.2019. As on date, about 87 % of PMUY beneficiaries have returned for at least second refill. The total number of refills including installation against PMUY connections has crossed more than 40 crore.
This information was given by the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
