NDRF mobilised 10 teams to Mumbai

Extremely heavy rains for the last two days have created water-logging in several parts of Mumbai & its suburbs and disrupted the normal life in several areas. As per IMD, city will experience intermittent rain with heavy to very heavy rain fall in a few places in the city and suburbs over the next 24 hours.
Three (03) NDRF teams already prepositioned in Mumbai were immediately supplemented by sending more teams. Keeping the rainfall forecast in view, NDRF teams have been put on high alert and are keeping close watch over the situation.
Additional teams are kept as standby at all NDRF Bn locations to supplement the deployment wherever required.
NDRF HQ, New Delhi is closely monitoring the situation and is in touch with IMD and other agencies.
