The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari has deeply condoled the loss of a number of lives and injuries of Haj pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Following is the text of Vice President’s condolence message :
“I am deeply saddened to learn about the accident at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia that has resulted in the loss of a number of lives and injuries of Haj pilgrims. I understand that casualties include 10 Indian nationals. Relief and rescue operations are presently underway and every effort should be made to render all possible aid to the injured and the bereaved families.
I join the people of the country in conveying my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I wish speedy recovery to the injured persons.”
