Government proposes to conduct a “Time Use Survey” at a cost of Rs. 50 crore

Government proposes to conduct a “Time Use Survey” at a cost of Rs. 50 crore. Giving this information in Lok Sabha today the Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation General (Dr.) V.K. Singh (Retd.) however said that a final decision regarding the time of conduct of the survey is yet to be made. The survey will make an assessment as to how men, women and children spend their time in our country.
