Structural Reforms and Growth in India Would be the Theme of the Conclave |
The Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley will deliver the Inaugural Address after inaugurating the two day Delhi Economics Conclave-2014 on Wednesday, 10th December, 2014 in the national capital. The theme of the Conclave is ‘Structural Reforms and Growth in India’. There will be four Plenary Sessions on the day one and one Plenary Session and Closing Ceremony on the day two of the Economics Conclave. The various issues to be discussed during the different Plenary Sessions of the two day Conclave include Infrastructure and Growth, Changing Global Scenario: Growth, Trade and Reforms; Inclusive Growth and Agriculture, Manufacturing: Challenges and Reforms and State Capacity, Structural Reforms and Growth among others. Other major participants in the two day Economics Conclave include Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister, Singapore, Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC), Power, Coal and NRE, Shri Rajiv Mehrishi, Finance Secretary, Dr. Arvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Dr. Bimal Jalan, former Governor, RBI, Dr N.K. Singh, Former Member Rajya Sabha. Ajay S. Sriram, Chairman CII, and Shri Yaduvendra Mathur, CMD, EXIM Bank among others. Shri Jayant Sinha, Minister of State of Finance will be the Lead Speaker at the Closing Ceremony which will also be attended by Ms. Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairman, SBI, Shri Deepak Parikh, Chairman, HDFC, Mrs V.R.
