The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee will undertake a three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh from June 6 to 8, 2013.
The President will lay the foundation stone for Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University at Bhopal on June 6, 2013. On the same day, he will attend the 8th Convocation of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and also inaugurate the Tribal Museum at Bhopal.
On June 7, 2013, the President will inaugurate the Shankaracharya Netralaya at Jhoteshwar, Narsinghpur. This Netralaya is established by Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Charitable Trust for providing medical facilities for tribal population of the region. On the same day, he will attend the 1st Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University at Amarkantak. This University was established in 2008 with aim to provide avenues of higher education and research facilities primarily for the tribal population.
On June 8, 2013, the President will attend the 1st Convocation of Indian Institute of Technology, Indore.
