Inter school band competition for Delhi and NCR region.

  The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource and Development organised Inter School Band Competition at National Bal Bhavan, Kotla Road, New Delhi today. This is an initiative undertaken for celebrating the 70 years of Independence and 75 years of the Quit India movement.

                 Special Secretary, Smt Rina Ray inaugurated the Competition and gave her good wishes  to all the participants.
                
                 Shri Anil Swarup, Secretary, Dept. of  School Education & Literacy, MHRD gave away the prizes to the winning teams. Separate prizes were given to the teams securing 1st, 2nd , 3rd position in Girls and Boys Bands.

                 Trophy and Cash prizes were given to all the winning team.

                 Participation certificates were given to all the participants. Event included March Past and Band performance. The theme of the programme is “70 Years of Independence” .Jury of the programme had specially been invited from Deputy Commissioner of Police HQs.

                  Cultural performances by member children of NBB enthralled the audience. This included orchestra, Song and Dance performance on the theme of Independence.

Shri Maneesh Garg, Joint Secretary, MHRD and Dr. Meenakshi Jolly, Director, Dept. of School Education & Literacy, MHRD who is also Director National Bal Bhavan were also present.
