Handloom Clusters in Bihar

As announced in Union Budget 2014-‘15, the Government of India has taken up Bhagalpur as mega handloom cluster at a total project cost of Rs. 17.15 crore, including Govt. of India’s share of Rs. 16.21 crore. The mega cluster covers Bhagalpur & Baka districts. Besides this, two block-level clusters at Nawada (Nawada District) and Dehri (Rohtas District) have been sanctioned at a total project cost of Rs. 236.29 lakh (including GoI share of Rs. 230.60 lakh) and Rs. 192.03 lakh (including GoI share of Rs. 190.05 lakh) respectively. 

The above information was given by the Minister of State, Textiles, Shri Ajay Tamta today (July 20, 2017)
, in a written reply to a Lok Sabha question.
