President of India Congratulates Mr. Emmanuel Macron on his Election as President of the French Republic

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has congratulated HE Mr. Emmanuel Macron on his election as the President of the French Republic.

In a message to HE Mr. Emmanuel Macron, the President-elect of the French Republic, the President has said, “On behalf of the people of the Republic of India, I warmly congratulate you on your election to the office of President of the French Republic. In giving you a decisive mandate, the people of France have demonstrated their confidence in your leadership and vision.

India deeply values its multifaceted Strategic Partnership with France and looks forward to consolidating these further with its new Government. I am confident that the long-standing friendship, mutual trust and understanding between our two nations will continue to strengthen in the years to come.

Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your success and for the progress and prosperity of the people of France”.
