National Child Labour Project for Rehabilitation of Child Labour

Government is implementing the National Child Labour Project (NCLP) Scheme for rehabilitation of child labour since 1988. At present, the Scheme is sanctioned in 280 Districts in the country. As per reports received from the District Project Societies, at present 3234 Special Training Centres (STCs) under the Scheme are in operation with an enrolment of 1,33,843 children.

This information was given by Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, the Minister of State (IC) for Labour and Employment,in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.
