I&B Minister meets Ethiopian Communication Affairs Minister

India & Ethiopia to enhance Media & Communication partnership
-         Shri Venkaiah Naidu
India and Ethiopia have agreed to strengthen the cooperation in critical areas related to communication and outreach. The cooperation would be worked out through a policy and institutional framework in the various domains. India would provide full support to Ethiopia for capacity building in critical subjects related to communication and journalism through the platform of Indian Institute of Mass Communication. These discussions took place during a meeting between Minister for Information & Broadcasting Shri M .Venkaiah Naidu and the Ethiopian Delegation led by Dr. Negeri Lencho, Minister of Communications Affairs, Ethiopia at Parliament House here today. 


During the discussions, both the Minister agreed to have an institutional mechanism for collaboration between Public Broadcasters of both the countries in areas of content generation and capacity building of officials. Possibility of Student Exchange programmes between educational institutions of both the countries was also discussed.
