President of India congratulates ISRO on the successful launch of PSLV-C35, carrying advanced satellite SCATSAT-1

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on the successful launch of the PSLV-C35, carrying advanced satellite SCATSAT-1 alongwith seven other co-passenger satellites.
In a message to Shri A.S. Kiran Kumar, Chairman of ISRO, the President has said, “My heartiest congratulations to you and your entire team at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the successful launch of PSLV-C35, carrying advanced satellite SCATSAT-1 alongwith seven other co-passenger satellites from Algeria, Canada, USA and two from India.
I understand that SCATSAT-1 will help provide wind vector data products for weather forecasting cyclone detection and tracking services to the users. The nation is proud of this important achievement which is a significant milestone in the progress of our space capabilities.
Kindly convey my greetings to the members of your team of scientists, engineers, technologists and all others associated with this great mission. I wish the ISRO continued success in the coming years”.
