Indian Companies bagging Senegal Contract

M/s Ashok Leyland has received orders worth $ 82 million (approx Rs. 521 Crore) from Senegal. The order comprises supply of 475 buses, genuine spares, assistance in development of workshops, training and consultancy on fleet management and structuring of vehicle tracking and monitoring system. 

Government, whenever needed, interacts with Indian Automotive Industry to ensure that automobile export to African nations is given adequate support by organising fairs/exhibitions/seminars in India and Africa to boost exports in this sector to Africa. 

This information was given by Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Shri Babul Supriyo in reply to a written question in the Lok Sabha today.
