Cabinet Minister Shri Ananth Kumar today took over the charge of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. Shri S.S.Ahluwalia also took over the charge of the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs. On the occasion, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy were also present.
Shri Ananth Kumar appealed to the opposition parties to cooperate with the government in passing the important bills benefitting the common man. Interacting with the media, he said that he would follow the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka sath sabka vikas’, and try to take along all the parties. He said that several important legislations, including GST, will come up in the forthcoming Monsoon session of parliament and he expects full cooperation from all quarters. Shri Ananth Kumar said that he along with his two Ministers of State in the ministry would work like a team and take forward the good work done by Shri Naidu and his team in last two years.
