Chief Minister of Uttarkhand, Shri Harish Rawat called on Shri Thaawarachand Gehlot, Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment here today. Shri Rawat appraised Shri Gehlot of the various social sector programmes being run with the support of the Union Government in his State. He raised some of the issues regarding Post Matric Scholarship for SC students and said that efforts are being made to see all scholarship accounts are linked with Aadhar Cards, to ensure speedy reimbursement of the scholarship amount to the students.
Reiterating the commitment of the Government for the welfare of the SC, DNT, OBC, etc, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot said that Union Government has streamlined its scheme to ensure that the benefits reaches all the beneficiaries. He requested CM to setup effective monitoring system to see the implementation of the Central Sector schemes. He assured all possible support to the State Government for the implementation of Central schemes.
