Over Rs. 14.4 Crores released under Post Matric Scholarships for OBC students for Punjab

Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment has approved the sum of about Rs. 14.4 Crores under Post matric scholarships for OBC students in Punjab for the year 2016 - 17. With the release of these funds a large number of OBC students in Punjab will be able to take up higher education. Under this scheme scholarship ranging from Rs. 160/- to Rs. 750/- per month is given to OBC students studying in Post- Matric to Post-Graduate classes.
