Ministry of Civil Aviation Holds Numerous Activities to Mark 2nd International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2016.

In line with direction of Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), an  Action Plan in respect of Ministry of Civil Aviation (Main) and its subordinate/attached officers and PSUs has been worked out and being implemented.
Ministry
A Yoga Training Camp was organized in the Ministry in coordination with AYUSH accredited expert trainers from Patanjali  Yogpeeth from 15th to 20thJune, 2016 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.   On 21st June, 2016, YOGA Day was observed from 8:00 a.m.to 9:00 a.m and the session was lead by Secretary, Shri R.N. Choubey.  Besides these programmes, it has also been decided that Yoga based lectures/ seminars will be organized on monthly basis in the Ministry.
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran  Akademi (IGRUA)
Mass Yoga Demonstration for 45 minutes duration as per Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), besides 15 minutes of Pranayama/Dhyana as per Institutional Yoga Practices (IYP) was organized on 21st June, 2016 from 7:00 a.m to 8:00 a.m under the guidance of a trained Yoga Teacher.  30 minutes Yoga programme has been included in the daily morning Physical Training session of flying Cadets apart from swimming and other physical exercises.  All trainee pilots and employees will be participating in the Mass Yoga Demonstration on 21.06.2016.
Airports Authority of India
A Yoga Training Camp was also  organised in the INA Colony in coordination with some expert trainers.  Instructions  were also issued to celebrate 2nd International Yoga Day at Five Regions/ Airports including ATC, Allahabad.  Besides these seminars / workshops related to Yoga practice will be organized on quarterly basis.


Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
Mass Yoga performance/demonstration was arranged in the main lawn of DGCA campus from 8:00 am to 9:00 am  on 21.06.2016 with the help of trained Yoga instructors from the AYUSH selected institutions.
