President of India’s Message on the eve of Independence Day of Lesotho


The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Lesotho on the eve of their Independence Day (October 4, 2015).

In his message to His Majesty King Letsie III, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and my own behalf, I take this opportunity to convey warm greetings and felicitations to Your Majesty, the Government and people of Lesotho on the occasion of your Independence Day.

India and Lesotho share long standing bilateral relations which have grown stronger and vibrant in recent years. Our partnership is based on shared understanding on issues of common interest. I am confident that our relations will continue to prosper to the mutual benefit of our peoples.

Please accept, Your Majesty, my good wishes for your continued good health and personal well-being, as well as for the happiness, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Lesotho”.
