Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Interact with School Students on The Eve of Teachers' Day

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi shall be addressing the school children tomorrow(04-09-2015) from 10.00 AM to 11.15 AM at New Delhi on the eve of Teachers Day.  800 students and 60 teachers from schools of Delhi would participate in person whereas several talented children from across the country who have excelled in various activities shall interact with the Prime Minister on video conferencing mode from nine different locations.  School children all over the country will be viewing or listening to the live telecast.
The Prime Minister will also release a commemorative coin of Rs. 125/- denomination and a circulation coin of Rs. 10/- denomination in the honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great educationist, teacher and philosopher, on the eve of his birth anniversary. He will also launch the website for Kala Utsav, which is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to promote art in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students at the secondary stage in 4 areas, i.e, visual arts, music, dance and theatre.
Smt Smriti Irani, the Union Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD), Shri Upendra Kushwaha, Minister of State for HRD (School Education & Literacy), Prof (Dr) Ram Shankar Katheria, Minister of State for HRD (Higher Education) and Sh Jayant Sinha, the Minister of State for Finance will be present during the function.
The programme will be telecast live on Doordarshan (DD National and DD India) and will be broadcast live on All India Radio. The State Governments have been requested to make necessary arrangements in schools to enable students to have the opportunity to view and hear the Prime Minister’s interaction with students.  It is expected that large number of children in different parts of the country including remote locations, would have the opportunity to view and hear the Prime Minister’s interaction on this occasion.
