The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh chaired a meeting of the High Level Committee (HLC) here today(24-07-2015) for Central Assistance to States affected by natural disasters.
The Union Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information & Broadcasting, Shri Arun Jaitley, the Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Union Home Secretary Shri LC Goyal, Agriculture Secretary Shri Siraj Hussain and senior officers of the Ministries of Home, Finance and Agriculture attended the meeting.
The Committee examined the proposals, based on the visits of the Central Team to the States affected by severe Natural Disasters. The HLC decided the assistance from the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) in respect of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh regarding crop losses caused by hailstorms.
