NDRF deployed in Gujarat and Rajasthan

A meeting was held at NDMA on July 28, 2015 to review National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deployment in Gujarat and Rajasthan in view of the heavy to very heavy rains forecast over the next 72 hours over the region. 

The Member Secretary, NDMA, Shri R.K. Jain chaired the meeting which was attended by Director General, India Meteorological Department, Director General, NDRF and the Resident Commissioner of the two states. Additional NDRF teams have been rushed to both the states while more forces have been put on standby. 

The Ministry of Home Affairs is closely monitoring the flood situation in different parts of the country.
