The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the loss of lives in the gas leak tragedy in Ludhiana district of Punjab.
In his message to Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki the Governor of Punjab, the President has said “I am saddened to learn about the gas leak tragedy in Punjab's Ludhiana district on Friday night in which several people lost their lives and a large number are hospitalised.
I am sure the State Government and other agencies are providing all possible aid to those affected by the gas leak as well as to the bereaved families.
Please convey my prayers for the speedy recovery of those hospitalised due to the incident and heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased”.
