NCC creates record on International Day of Yoga

National Cadet Corps (NCC), the premier youth organisation of the nation created a record for the largest yoga performance simultaneously at multiple venues by a single uniformed youth organization, yesterday.

The cadets performed the asanas as per the protocol given by the Ministry of Ayush from 0700 am to 0735 am at all venues including Rajpath in New Delhi. The performance of yoga by more than 9,50,000 NCC cadets on International Day of Yoga was conducted pan India at 1804 venues, including Leh in the North, Dwarka in the West, Tezu (Arunachal Pradesh) in the East, Nagarcoil (Kanyakumari) in the South and in the islands of Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep, which was a phenomenal achievement by itself.

The NCC has been at the forefront of ‘NATION BUILDING’ by grooming the youth into disciplined citizens. It has been conducting social awareness and community development programmes and adventure activities aimed at all-round development of its cadets. This unique record on the ‘International Day of Yoga’ has added another feather to the cap of this youth organisation.
