There is no running away from Bollywood says famous ad film director Bauddhayan Mukherji

‘Teen Kahon’ has already been screened at nine Film Festivals and won three awards since its completion this year, says Director Bauddhayan Mukherji proudly. He was speaking at a press conference a t the 45th IFFI in Goa today. Bauddhayan, who is one of India's leading advertisement film directors, said that ‘Teen Kahon’ is a story of obsessive love depicted through three separate stories spanning 100 years, starting from 1920s to 2013. The process of film making adopted was such that each story reflects the costumes and culture of its time , we have tried to keep the prevalent film making process of the era to which each story belongs , adds Bauddhayan. The Director said he has been influenced by Satyajit Ray, especially in the shooting of the first story. His next feature film will be a Hindi film, he disclosed. There is no running away from Bollywood, I would like to belong to it, he says. 

His wife and producer of the film, Monalisa Mukherji said that working in a husband wife team keeps them in perfect sync. Appreciating the Film Bazaar at the IFFI, 2014, she said that it has a very business friendly environment due to which they have been able to find a Canadian distributor for their film. 

Teen Kahon is a debut feature film of Director Bauddhayan Mukherji and has been selected for the Indian Panaroma at IFFI 2014.
