Cabinet Secretary reviews the preparedness in the wake of impending cyclonic storm ‘Nilofar’

Centre gears up to provide every assistance to Gujarat Government 
The Cabinet Secretary Shri Ajit Seth chaired the meeting of the National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) today (27.10.2014) to review the precautionary relief and rescue measures in the Coastal Districts of Gujarat in the wake of impending cyclonic storm ‘Nilofar’ expected to make its landfall in the morning of 31st October, 2014. The Cabinet Secretary, in a video conference with the Gujarat Chief Secretary, took stock of the various steps to meet any challenge arising out of the cyclone.

The NCMC also reviewed the preparedness with the concerned Central Ministries/Departments and representatives of the State Government present at the meeting. The Centre is fully geared up to provide necessary assistance to the State Government whenever and wherever required.
