The Government under Special Accelerated Road Development Program-North East (SARDP-NE) has approved 6418 km length (Net length is 6137 km, based on Detailed Project Report) for implementation under Phase ‘A’ and the Arunachal Pradesh Package of Roads and Highways. The length sanctioned so far is 3924 km and completed length is 1584 km. The balance length is 2213 km and out of which 1913 is targeted for award during 2014-15 and balance 300 km during 2015-16.
This was stated by General (Retd.) Dr. V K Singh, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North East Region in Lok Sabha today.
