Five Day State Mourning as a Mark of Respect to Dr. Nelson Mandela


The Government of India has decided that five days state mourning will be observed from 6th December to 10th December, 2013 as a mark of respect to Dr. Nelson R Mandela, former President of South Africa, who passed away on 05th December, 2013 (Thursday).

During the state mourning, the national flag will be flown at half mast from 6th to 10th December, 2013 throughout the country and there will be no official entertainment.
