National Sugar Institute, a premier institute under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution at Kanpur has started various training courses to provide technical manpower for sugar and distillery industry. The courses started include Associate ship in Sugar Technology, Sugar Engineering, and Diploma in Industrial Fermentation & Alcohol Technology. In addition, short term training courses like Sugar Engineering Certificate Course, Sugar Boiling Certificate Courses, and Pre. Harvest Cane Maturity Survey have also been introduced. After completing these courses, students can occupy important technical position in sugar & alcohol industry. In fact such courses since last many years are getting very good placement.
