Global crude oil price of Indian Basket rises sharply to 101.59/US$ bbl on 28.5.2013

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 101.59/per barrel (bbl) on 28.05.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 99.37/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 27.05.2013.
                                                                                                                     
 The crude oil price in rupee terms also increased to Rs 5662.63/bbl on 28.05.2013 as compared to Rs 5526.96/bbl on 27.05.2013. This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee depreciation. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 28.05.2013 was Rs 55.74/US$ against Rs 55.62/US$ on previous trading day of 27.05.2013.
