BRLF to help developmental needs of tribal populated districts of Central India.

Government has informed that it has decided to set up the Bharat Rural Livelihood Foundation (BRLF) as not-for-profit society to tackle the developmental challenges facing the tribal population in Central India. Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha, the Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Pradeep Jain said that the proposed Foundation will facilitate and upscale civil society action in partnership with Government for transforming livelihood and lives in rural households, with emphasis on women. He said, Corporate houses had been requested to partner with the proposed BRLF so far and Sir Ratan Tata Trust has agreed to partner and contribute to the BRLF corpus. BRLF is proposed to be set up as a society with an All-India mandate, initially focusing on approximately 170 tribal populated districts of Central India.

With very heavy heart I would like to express that the Government officials sitting on chairs as Project Directors, ADOs plus field staff are not at all interested for the development of Tribal or rural poor.
In Madhya Pradesh, We started working on behalf of Integrated Congress of Women Entrepreneurs in Khurai Block of Districtt Sagar ADO of the area cooperated to arrange meetings with Self Help Groups but when the question of implementing the project rose, he backed and misguided the members of SHGs. Similarly a project was initiated to adopt the Tribal Village TOOMRI of Block Kesli. Government of India spent Rs 60 thousand to train 200 ladies in the field of manufacturing washing powder shampoos cleansing powder. The District Manager of DPIP Shri Harsh Dube backed out and the poor tribal ladies were kept in dark.
BHARAT RURAL LIVLIHOOD FOUNDATION WILL ALSO ACT ON THE SAME LINES.
Hon'ble Minister will not know as to how crorers of rupees will be swallowed by the staff on the name of Poverty Reduction.
It will be totally a failure.
Dr Mrs Sushma Joiya Pandit
Chairperson
Integrated Congress of Women Entrepreneurs.
