Last opportunity for stakeholders for submitting their comments on TRAI’s consultation paper on “Issues relating to Media Ownership"

TRAI had released the consultation paper on “Issues relating to Media Ownership” on 15th February, 2013, inviting written comments from the stakeholders by 8th March, 2013 and counter-comments by 15th March 2013. On the request of stakeholders, the last date for submission of comments/counter-comments was extended to 8th April and 15th April 2013 respectively. Again the stakeholders and their key associations, citing the complexity of the issue, requested for further extension and the last date for receipt of written comments has been extended upto 22nd April, 2013 and counter-comments, if any, to 29th April 2013. It is reiterated that this would be the last opportunity for the stakeholders to offer their comments/counter-comments and no further extension of time shall be given.
