PM to visit Mumbai, Aurangabad and Nagpur in Maharashtra on September 7, 2019


Boost to Mumbai Metro, Major Expansion of Metro Routes


Nagpur – PM to Inaugurate Aqua Line of City Metro


The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Mumbai, Aurangabad and Nagpur in Maharashtra on September 7, 2019.

Mumbai

In Mumbai, the PM will lay foundation stone for three metro lines, which will together add more than 42 km to the metro network of the city. The three corridors are 9.2 km long Gaimukh to ShivajiChowk (Mira Road) Metro-10 corridor, 12.7 km long Wadala to ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj Terminus Metro-11 corridor and 20.7km long Kalyan to Taloja Metro-12 corridor.

The PM will also lay foundation stonefor a state-of-the-art Metro Bhavan; the 32-storey centre will operate and control 14 metro lines measuring around 340 km.

The PM will inaugurate Bandongri Metro Station, Kandivali East.

He will also inaugurate a state-of-the-art metro coach, the first metro coach under Make in India.

The PM will release a Brand Vision Document for Maha Mumbai Metro.

Aurangabad

In Aurangabad, the PM will address a state-level MahilaSakshamMelava or Empowered Women’s Meet of Self Help Groups, being organized by Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (UMED).

Nagpur

In Nagpur, the PM will inaugurate 11 kilometrelong Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro, at Subhash Nagar Metro Station, Nagpur. The Aqua Line refers to the segment from Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station to Sitabuldi Interchange, named so due to the number of water bodies which are located along the alignment. The starting of passenger services from Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station to Sitabuldi Interchange. The new line would provide transport facilities to a number of college students travelling on that road, as also, the employee and workforce engaged in MIDC, Hingna.

The PM will then proceed to Mankapur stadium, where he will inaugurate various projects.

He will inaugurate the Out Patient Department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur.

The PM will also launch Pradhan MantriVyapariMaan-DhanYojana, a national level Pension Scheme for Traders and Shopkeepers.

The PM will also lay the foundation stone for four-laning of Nagpur-Umred section of NH-353D and for Saoner – Dhapewada – Kalmeshwar-Gondkhairi section of NH-547E.

The PM will also lay the foundation stone for ICMR-NIV Satellite Centre of One Health, Nagpur. The Centre is being establishedto achieve the goal of One Health, a concept where human health, animal health, wild life and environment come together to achieve better public health outcomes. The ICMR’s Centre will work towards tackling emerging and existing zoonotic diseases, and will emphasize on identification of novel and unknown zoonotic agents, capacity building and human resource development.
