The construction of the hospital has been taken up on Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. Tenders have been issued and agency has been identified for construction. The proposal has been approved in the Standing Committee of the TMC Governing Council on July 22, 2016.
Rs. 35 crore has been released for the project upto March 31, 2016 which includes fund for establishment of Satellite Cancer Treatment Facility at Sangrur District, Punjab. Budget provision of Rs. 50 crore has been made in the current year.
The period of completion of work is 24 months from the date of issue of award of contract and treatment and research facility is expected to start immediately after construction work is over.
