Rashtrapati Bhavan to host second batch of Inspired Teachers from Central Universities under its ‘In-Residence’ programme from tomorrow for a week



The second batch of 13 Inspired Teachers from Central Universities across the country will stay at Rashtrapati Bhavan for a period of seven days from April 23 to 29, 2016 as part of an ‘In Residence’ programme. The first batch of 31 Inspired Teachers stayed for a week at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the June last year.

The In-Residence programme for Inspired Teachers was instituted by the President of India at the annual Conference of Vice Chancellors of Central Universities on February 5, 2015. Similar programmes exist for writers, artists, grass root innovators and NIT students.

The Inspired Teachers, during their stay at Rashtrapati Bhavan, will interact with various Union Ministers and senior Government officials as well as visit educational institutions in Delhi-NCR. They will also participate in various activities of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
